SimmonsMethodTrainedIs there a change you want to make that will help improve your life? Would you like help to change an aspect of your life to stop existing and start living? There is no need to struggle when help is so close at hand.

If you are looking for support with an aspect of your life that you want to improve, change or remove, you can be assured that you have found someone who can help. Over the last 45 years I have worked with countless people to enable them to improve their lives, often on a long term basis. Sometimes change can be made fairly quickly and sometimes a little more time is needed. Much depends on your preferences and the changes you wish to make. My goal is to enable you to make those changes in a permanent way and in the shortest possible time.

My practice is based in Todwick which is located 5 minutes from Junction 31 on the M1. Free car parking is available. I also offer remote therapy which is proven to be effective. I use a secure telehealth platform, VSee.

All consultations are conducted in strict confidentiality and at high professional and ethical standards. I have experience of working in the NHS as a diagnostic radiographer and in Higher Education as a health educationalist both internationally and at a high level. I have worked in research, post adoption services (voluntary) and led complex projects. I currently work as a volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Care as a Supervisor, Client Services Committee member and see clients. I am a full member of the British Society of Clinical & Academic Hypnosis, National Council of Hypnotherapists and am on the register for the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I am an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

I use client centred, educational and therapeutic techniques, including hypnosis, to enable you to change the aspect of your life that is holding you back. I work in collaboration with you so that you are able to help yourself change. You are in control. We can start with very small steps if that is what you prefer or, for those who already have some experience of self work, we can move at a different pace. Each session is individually tailored to your needs.

Therapeutic models may include clinical hypnosis, guided imagery, emotional freedom technique (EFT), coaching, counselling, relaxation training, visualisation, cognitive behavioural approaches and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I also provide therapy remotely using VSee. This is a secure telehealth platform. I provide a 15 minutes practice session so that you can experience it for yourself before committing.

Bereavement and other losses at a time of restrictions because of COVID-19 may raise issues for you. You may feel angry, scared, guilty or, perhaps restrictions have triggered aspects of OCD. I can gently help you to manage such issues.

I look forward to hearing from you
